New stills from John Hillcoat’s new film, “The Road,” have surfaced online thanks to USA Today. Looks good! Enjoy!

New stills from Almodovar’s latest

Stills are making their way onto the web of Pedro Almodovar’s latest film, “Los Abrazos Rotos,” translated as “Broken Embraces.”

I loved “Volver” so much, after never really watching any of his films and I thought Penelope was absolutely marvelous in it. So i’m really looking forward to this one.

Enjoy the pics here!

Hmm, this looks interesting — if only Tom Cruise wasn’t in this. The technicality of the films looks great, and the trailer seems to be paced very well, but I just don’t buy Tom Cruise in a period film — sorry. (I’ll still see this thought because of Bryan Singer.)

I think it looks kind of awful! Keira doesn’t seem to fit into this time period in my mind — maybe I just think her acting is too modern. The costumes looks nice though.

Denzel as Secret Agent

Denzel Washington has signed on to star in “The Matarese Circle,” based on the Robert Ludlum novel.

“The project revolves around two secret agents — an American and a Russian — who must work together to fight a mysterious group of killers known as the Matarese. The twist: The agents, Bradley Scofield and Vasili Taleniekov, have been nemeses for years, with each responsible for killing someone close to the other. According to those familiar with the pitch, Washington would play Scofiel,” says The Hollywood Reporter.

Michael Brandt and Derek Haas are writing the screenplay. The two previously worked together on “3:10 to Yuma” and the upcoming Angelina Jolie film “Wanted.”

Damon in “Green Zone”

The Bad and the Ugly has scored some first looks pictures of Matt Damon in the Paul Greengrass film “Green Zone.”

“Green Zone is the story of a pair of CIA agents on the trail of certain Weapons of Mass Destruction and a foreign correspondent following their mission,” states the website.

Paul Greengrass is most famous for his Oscar nominated direction of “United 93″ and the last two Bourne films.

Kidman, Dench for “Nine”

The Hollywood Reporter is stating that Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench are in talks to join Rob Marshall’s upcoming musical feature “Nine,” adapted from the Broadway musical of the same name that was based on Federico Fellini’s “8 1/2.”

A little side note of interest – Judi Dench portrayed Sally Bowles in the original London production of “Cabaret” in 1968. Can we get pictures of this?!

Billy Crudup is Hoover

Billy Crudup has signed on to Michael Mann’s crime drama “Public Enemies” for Universal.

Crudup will portray former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover.

Rounding out the cast are actors Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, Steven Lang, Christian Bale, and Marion Cotillard.
